New Uses for Starbucks Frappuccino and Other Domed Plastic Cups - Avocado Pit Sprouter

Here is a great use for those domed plastic cups that you get with frozen coffee beverages, such as a Starbuck’s Frappucino. Use it to sprout an avocado seed!

Wash the cup and lid, and then replace the lid onto the cup, only upside down, so that the dome is hanging down into the cup. Fill the cup with water until the water level is just above the hole in the dome, with about an inch of water filling the bottom of the dome.

Now, rest an avocado pit in the bottom of the dome. Voila! Instant avocado pit sprouter, and no need to try to spear the pit with toothpicks!

This is the only way I have ever been able to get an avocado seed to sprout!
